ARADI / FEATURE GUIDE

In-store counter

Take a walk-in order in a dedicated workspace, with your own menu, item changes and a clear basket before you save it.

01

Try the live Counter preview

The Counter tab on the homepage is an isolated sample, using fictional items and prices. Tap an item name to change size, toppings, crust, grill flavour or a note; + adds the default item quickly. The live basket supports quantities, editing and a percentage or fixed discount. Save order keeps a local example in the demo’s Orders view. Print receipt captures that basket, customer and order type on an animated paper receipt; changing the basket and printing again produces a new matching receipt. View demo receipt opens a readable enlarged copy. Nothing is sent to a shop, payment service or physical printer. The demo starts with a sample order and resets its local examples when the scene is reopened.

02

Use the current Aradi app

Mac and Windows Counter 0.4.3 and Android Counter 0.3.1 connect directly to aradi.uk. Get them from Downloads and install over your current app to retain saved data. Older official clients continue through the compatibility service. The counter includes its printer connection; do not install a second bridge for it.

03

Android counter with built-in printing

Android Counter 0.3.1 uses the same menu, integer-pence pricing and staff access as the Mac, Windows and Android counter. It saves an in-store order before sending its receipt directly to a configured private-network printer. Later upload does not create a second cloud print job. Sign in using a shop owner account or a Counter app account from Team & access. No separate print app or print-device password is required. Install over an existing Aradi Print Bridge to keep the same Android identity and encrypted printer settings. Phone/tablet runtime and physical output from this beta still require device testing.

04

Set up the printer inside Android Counter

Open Printer → Network printer setup. Save the printer’s private IPv4 address and choose HP / IPP A4 (JPEG), or the supported 58/80 mm ESC/POS network mode. Go back to Counter Printer settings, select Network printer and matching paper, enable automatic printing and Save. Allow local-network and notification permissions where requested. Website and AI receipts use the same internal foreground connection while online, subject to the existing three-device shop limit. USB, Bluetooth and proprietary integrated printers are not supported. After daily server authorisation, permitted in-store sales and local printing can continue offline until the signed window ends. Cold restart requires server verification for time-credit subscriptions. Phone and printer still need their local-network connection.

05

Find the right item quickly

Organise your items into categories, use search and choose the pizza size before adding it. The counter supports an expanded service view and light or dark appearance. Managers can arrange the menu buttons so frequently used items are easier to reach.

06

Keep every change with its item

Record removed ingredients, additions, crust, grill flavour and preparation notes. Extra charges use the shop’s configured menu and topping prices. A recipe with more than four toppings keeps its listed base price; customer additions are checked against the configured four-topping rule, including chargeable swaps.

07

Review the order and record payment

Link a known customer, add an order note and apply an authorised fixed or percentage discount. Cash and card options record how payment was received; selecting Card does not by itself charge a bank card. Review the complete basket before saving and sending the order to the configured print queue.

Getting started

  1. 1

Add and price your menu in Menu & prices.

  2. 2

Choose items, size and any requested changes.

  3. 3

Check the basket, discount and payment record, then save.

Setup & availability

Available through the shop’s activated Counter access. Desktop offline use and automatic printing have their own setup requirements.
